In the shadows of a great Red Wood two figures speak to one another privately. Their silhouettes show that one is a male and the other a female, both of which are fairly tall and in peak physical condition.
" Phase two is underway." the female whispers to the male.
" This is the tricky part of the plan my dearest. One false step here and we will be found out for sure." The male pauses for a moment and then continues," I take it that Ahroun has done his part without error?"
" Yes my love. The seed of hatred is intense within his being, to the point I fear he can become corrupted from it. Yet, this at the current point of our plan is making things work out even better than we had hoped."
The male grabs the females shoulders and pulls her in closer. " Should we eliminate him before he goes to far?"
"No my dearest, I think no matter what he does at this point no one would suspect him, and even if they do discover him he still does not know the true reasons for his actions. If he does fall to the wyrm then his death will only seal the fate of two of the Septs. The rest will be willing to negotiate."
" I would not like to be on your bad side my dearest." the male figure says with a chuckle.
" No my sweetest, you would not." She replies as she holds him in a strong embrace. Without another word the couple split and change into Lupus form and run off into the woods. Not once revealing any details of who they were.

"As he lay still as the last bit of gnosis drained from its body the garou had begun speaking to him again, unaffected by his own horrible deed."

Error here - he drained his essence not his gnosis. When the essence is 0 a spirit goes into the deep umbra and reforms and returns, but if at 0 and all of it's gnosis is taken then the spirit is dead. The Garou in my story was not looking to kill the spirit he just wanted him to go away for a time.

“Did they find it?” the garou barked in Spirit Speech.
The Spirit that the garou held down was a simple raccoon; it shivered in fear as it responded,” Yes, the guardian found it instantly.”
The garou stood and released the raccoon, but it stood its ground before the mighty crinos. “I have done what I have been ordered and per the bargain I am free. “
“Were you spotted by anything that could track you?”
“No. Not that I am aware of. I left it so that it could be found easily by anyone looking for anything unusual, and it was just seconds after it was left that it was.” The raccoon smirked to itself in pleasure waiting for its freedom.
“Yes, I see that leaves only one witness that could tell of my plan.” The garou responded smirking himself, which made raccoon shudder.
“I am not allowed to tell of our doings due to the bargain- I am bound.”
The Garou’s smiled widened, “I know, but this is simply a more satisfying way for me to guarantee that there is no chance for my plan to fail.”
Within a split second of the garou finishing his sentence he had leapt back on to the raccoon spirit and begun stealing its gnosis. The raccoon attempted to struggle but was no match for the garou’s strength. As he lay still as the last bit of gnosis drained from its body the garou had begun speaking to him again, unaffected by his own horrible deed.
“When you return, you will know I am not one to be trifled with and shall be weary of my advances. At that time your secrets will no longer matter if revealed. That is what I need for my plan to succeed! Once that bottle is opened then my plan will begin.”
As the last bit of gnosis drained from the spirits body, its form dissipated and vanished completely as the garou stood upright to gaze upon the redwoods before it.
“Enjoy your victories for now, because soon all you will know is pain and suffering.” The garou cursed before turning and running on all fours into the darkness of the surrounding woodlands.

Smoke Paw stood and watched as the pack walked away knowing that it was only a matter of time before the other banes came for him. He remembered the bane forcing itself into him, physically leaving a portion of it within him. He also remembered the others that followed. Smoke Paw had kept this information from the pack because he feared that they would be too much for them to handle. They were young and he was not about to be the cause of their deaths, besides, they trusted him. He paced the cave as they left his sight and prepared for the coming battle that would surely end his miserable existence. His life had been good and this deed would ensure that his death would be as his life was.
A rumbling within the cavern walls knocked him off his feet.
“Where are they?” an eerie voice called from no certain direction.
SmokePaw attempted to change but knew it was impossible. He smiled to himself as he began thinking of his past deeds.
“Where are they?” the voice boomed even louder. Then a shadow from the wall begun to take shape not far from where he stood.
He clenched his fist and then his smile grew larger as he stared at the bane taking form before him,” I am Smoke Paw of the Fianna tribe. As a Fianna I have a duty to protect my brothers and sisters from the likes of you. You have deceived me once but I will be damned if I let you do it again.”
The creature’s mangled form shivered as it looked upon the deranged creation that it had created. The thing known as Smoke Paw was going to attack soon and have to be put down like all of Gaia’s warriors had to be, it thought to itself. Seconds later, Smoke Paw charged the bane and his smile never left his face, even after his death.

Great Tooth and his companions stayed in the area by the beech waiting for the Betweener. They knew that she would come but it was only a matter of time. They feared that with the presence of the changing ones that she might have sensed danger and avoided the area, but they had given themselves plenty of time if the Betweener hesitated and didn't come before the third Great Wound reached the over sea.
It was not that long of a wait... just hours after the changers left, she came. Great Tooth and his companions all sensed her as soon as she touched the water and began to change into her unnatural form. Great Tooth was sickened at this because the form she resented was the true form of the Rokea, the form that she denied and rebelled against. This made her an enemy to Great Tooth and she would pay for her sins.
The Sharks swam closer to shore as Great Tooth and Two Tails shifted to prepare for battle. The Betweener began to verbalize in a different tongue. Great tooth cursed himself for not shifting into the dirtwalker form so that he could use his Spirit Token to understand what it was that she was saying, but he didn't allow Two Tails to see him hesitate. It was then that the sea betrayed them. Their companions were held fast in the water by an unseen force. Two Tails and Great Tooth in their battle forms tried to save them but they could not release the force that held them fast. Enraged, the pair charged the chanting Betweener and a watery form, obviously one of Qyils brethren from the darkness that filled it's form. Two tails was lifted into the air by a spout of sea that shredded the sea life around it and his form was being ravaged, but Great Tooth could see that the Spirit was concentrating on Two Tails so he leaped at the Betweener and sunk his teeth into her neck. The Blood sent him into a frenzy and when it was over his quest had been completed.
The betweener was floating face down in the sea with her wound coloring a large area around her. Two tails was among their companions, dead from the wounds inflicted by the spirit. Great Tooth opened his mouth and summoned his brothers who eagerly came to feast upon the dead in celebration of his victory.
As Great Tooth begun his swim home he began to ponder the events of the quest. Had the Betweener joined Qyls brood? Had the changing ones known? Little mattered at this point. The scar had been removed once the betweener had been removed from the unsea. He would return home and be honored as a great warrior should.
